The current pipeline of peptide drugs are derived from multifunctional proteins, such as the Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule (NCAM), the Fibroblast Growth Factors (FGF), the neurotrophins, Glia Derived Neurotrophic Factors (GDNF) and related growth factors, and the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor family (HER).
